Many people think of big open water when they think of Lake Superior. Our outpost lodge is on Moss Island, which is among the hundreds of islands in Nipigon Bay. It's a well-protected waterway, which makes for enjoyable fishing.

Coho Salmon are in more demand than any other kind of salmon. They are generally smaller and rarely going over 15 pounds but are also know to be the best tasting salmon. Mid summer is when Coho start coming in from the really deep water and they become accessible with downriggers. We troll around the islands and shoals and commonly catch Coho in the 3 to 10 pound range.
