Nipigon Bay is world famous for big trophy Brook Trout (also called Speckled Trout or Coasters) which is easy to understand since we are not far from where the World Record Brook Trout was caught. We have incredible fishing for Brookies. Brook Trout have a higher tolerance to warmer water than most trout so you will find them right up against shore and around the many reefs and island. Light tackle should be used.

Brook Trout are the best tasting of the trout family. They are caught often and are common in the 2 to 5 pound range but much bigger fish have been caught.
